editor2 portable?

Is there a portable version of the text program editor2 that we can use by itself?

editor2 can be used by itself, just copy the EXE along with the manifest file. If you want to carry your own (registry) settings with you, you must use a REG file with a batch script that loads the settings then starts editor2

so we can take editor2 on a usb drive and use it on another PC without needing to install it? if so, does it permanently add registry data to the new PC in which we run the exe?

btw: is version 2.9.0.4 still the latest editor2?

yes, it adds data to the registry but you can delete them:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\Editor2UC

curious, if i changed the folder location in which editor2 runs from time to time, would that add additional registry data for each change? or would it update the existing data?

i'm not sure what you mean
editor2 won't extract any changes to the registry data, you must do it manually
