Windows 98SE:
-scrap frame: with any files in it, Ctrl+J and Ctrl+H produce "Debug Assertion Failed" but they do work properly after pressing Ignore
-two files pane open: when I am moving using cursor in the folders pane with the Alt key depressed, inactive file pane does not show files from the selected folder. With mouse it works
x2 v.32 few bugs

No, it is empty. Whatever I type, it display error frame, but it does what I requested. I will check tommorow on my other computer with Win2k. MAybe it is Win98se issue.i can't reproduce the scrap filtering assertion. Do you have any items in the filter history list?
Hmm, this is the quote from alpha.txt: "...and loading in the inactive pane (Alt+browse)".for the tree thingy, that's the whole idea: if Alt is pressed the automatic folder changing is switched off temporarily
If I have two file panes, and I click one folder in the folder pane with Alt depressed, I will have conents of that folder shown in my inactive file pane. If I change the folder in the folder pane using my cursor with the Alt depressed, nothing. Should I not have the same result with Alt down when I click with the mouse and when I move thorugh the folders pane with cursors?

I still can't reproduce your assertion error, but since it was placed there by accident in the first place, I removed it
wrt ALT key there are 2 separate things. Alt+Enter indeed loads the folder in the inactive pane. But Alt+arrowKeys is used to traverse the tree without firing up folder automatic changes. These 2 things are unrelated
