folder tabs

Hello, I've been using this program happily for years when suddenly these folder tabs appeared out of nowhere (the little tabs showing the last folder visited that congregate under the folder panes). How can I get rid of them please??

The tab bar and folder tabs have been a feature since v1.1.0.0 in November 2004.
It sounds like something you have not used/encountered except by recent 'accident' which I could only take wild guesses at.
It's probably best if you to read the Tab Bar section of the User Manual to learn about the feature, how to invoke it and how to control it.
