x2 .33 bug report, thanx for many fixes :)

Post by pila »

Some new times might need fixing :)

- Thanks for adding Del key to the folders pane, but due to the folder locking, folder can not be deleted :(

- thanks for adding auto-open branch for auto-folder updating, but, it seems to have introduced a tiny problem :) Now, when I click to a folder in the folders pane, it automatically opens to show all sub-folders. On my w98se, folder will automatically open its subfolders only when it is clicked for the first time. When I close sub-branches and click it again in the folders pane, it acts normally.

it's either this way or the other, you'll need to make your mind up! :)

If it really is one way or the other, I would have to vote to return this feature into previous state :( That I can fix easily.

Hmm, you obviously used something like "if first time in a folder, then open the branch". You should not set this to check if you are for the first time in particular folder, but should set global variable for that instance of x2. Once it has ben used, reset it to 0 and it will not open each folder again. So, it is activated only once after that x2 instance is started.

Does this comment make any sense?

hang on, is it just the first time you want it expanded or each time? And if just the first, what's the point?

Point is to have it open that way when I open new x2 window. It is doing exactly that when I do not use auto-synch folders pane with files pane.

I open all x2 windows with certain root folder to make things easier. And I have about 12 definitions for invoking x2, depending on what am I doing.

ok this is easier but you somehow convinced me that opening the subfolders of the active branch at all times is something that makes sense.
still, since i have no need for either this or the old procedure, i will oblige :)
