Bug in x2

Post by Morning Star »

Hey Nikos,

If a file is selected in a pane, then double-clicked on, it will be launched/opened, but x2 will also open up an edit window on the filename (thinking that the user also wanted to rename the file)... which is of course not the case for a double click... :)

that depends on how quickly you d-click

Ahh. I see that if I d-click very quickly, the edit box on the filename opens, and then closes itself.

Would it be possible to wait a little longer before deciding that a rename was requested?

its not up to me really, that's how windows work

How about (optionally) just turning off that click to rename feature? Personally, I find that it just gets in the way, especially seeing as you can just hit F2...

Well, it could just be hidden in a registry setting... ;)
