Windows Search vs. Omni-Finder
HELP!! I'm trying to get started with x2 but no matter how I try to start the "Find files" process (Ctrl+F, Tools menu, or Find icon), I get taken to my Windows Search interface instead of the Omni-Finder dialog box. I'm using WinXPPro. Obviously I've done something wrong, but have no idea how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

As stated on the Lite vs. Pro Comparison Page, this function is not available for the lite version.
At the risk of excommunication (on my way to Sunday School) the search function for the lite version can be modified to invoke a third-party search tool, as described here, such as the Everything Search Engine, etc.
You can try the fully functional evaluation version to see if the finder meets your expectations. You will find the missing features in a table further down. In summary it suffers a bit in terms of customization and it won't offer you the scrap containers — so you can't use the powerful search command.
