Yet another Feature Request (check boxes!)

Post by ksxxx »

I tried the search option, but couldn't find this anywhere. Thing is, Vista and 7 have made very easy selecting multiple non-contiguous files by adding the infamous check box option. If xplorer2 Lite had that option, it'd be the super perfect explorer replacement. Hope someone reads this.

By the way, I've been using this program for many years and it's just a shame that MS could not even come close when it comes to features, customization, ease of use, etc etc etc (list is too long!). So, thanx for making this great program for us!

Slightly OT:
Where can I find that infamous check box option on Vista/7?

That would be from WinExplorer menu...
Tools | Folder options... | View | Use check boxes to select items

but why bother when x2 already has two ways to select multiple non-contiguous items:
sticky selection [Alt+S]  and
Middle-mouse-button [MMB]
;)

Thought it was GTK, didn't know about that functionality until now. :)
(Having used Vista/7 for about three years...)

Thanks. ;)

Way OT: It would be nice if more people used phrases like "multiple non-contiguous" in the vernacular, so I could walk into a shop and say "Give me 20 multiple non-contiguous Marlboro Lights, please" without getting punched in the gob.    (Believe it or not, I'm serious! Really!  It's also half-Two in the morning and I must be up at 5, but don't let that sway my argument: the world would be a better place if it were both contextually multiple and non-contiguous at the same time.)
