no way d00d :)

prob just me...

but one of the things i prefer about x2 over 2x is its look - abolutely no space or excess bars/lines wasted, purely functional; therein lies the aesthetic 8)

If you are running x2 0.35, and you rename kenny.exe.manifest to xplorer2.exe.manifest under XP (and 2K/ME?) then the toolbars become flat
and look very cool... :)

Nikos, is the file really supposed to be named kenny.exe.manifest?

oops! sorry about that, my bad
it should be called xplorer2, same as the executable
this enables the visual styles in XP but it kaks gridlines, that's why it is external. So either turn gridlines off with registry hacking (see alpha.txt) or delete the manifest file

thanks for the tip! but... maybe i am being particularly stupid but i am unable to find this manifest file anywhere, including the 0.35 x2 zip archive...? someone please put me out of my misery!
