.35 rename folder bug

Post by pila »

If I rename a folder using the folder pane, x2 will throw me to the root folder instead leave me in the renamed folder.

i bet you are talking about the root folder when x2 is running with the /R: option. Well, that's a limitation you've just discovered. You can't rename the root from within the root without causing havoc

No :) That communication was a misunderstanding :(

I just open x2, go to some folder, create a new folder1, create another new folder (folder2) within it. Then I return to the Folder1 and try to rename it. It gets renamed, but I am tossed to the root, whatewer the root of my current view might be.

i can see that now
well the tree and the pane (view) have their own independent minds
as far as the view is concerned its folder is "gone" so it switches back to the safety of the desktop.

a "feature"

It is not a big deal, but you could handle rename well.
