x2 ,38 bugs & problems

Post by pila »

Bugs:

-As previous version, it will not remember sort order after it is closed

-if I cut a file in x2, close it and open new one, there is nothing to paste. That is the worst case scenario of the lack of the support for the Ctrl+Ins, Shift+Ins and Shift+Delete. Please, let these three commands work as they do in all Windows applications.

Problems:

-file size rounding: please kill the third number behind the decimjal point, make it more readable as it is in regular Explorer. A space between the number an the unit would make it even more readabile

- folder locking that prevents folder deletion in the folders pane is still extremmly annoying bug. I have tried searching the forum for the "folder locking" to see what false reasoning is behind it but was not able to find any related old posts. This can not be a featuture, ever.

- I have a problem with the delay that x2 takes to read and display files when I change folders in the files pane. If I change panes with the Tab, x2 should immediatelly read the files instead of ignoring user's commands.

You can't just not show the third byte after the comma(?); the displayed number would be inaccurate (unless you wanted to report the size in deci-bytes??)
And personally, I don't like the idea of a space; it is counter intuitive, not to mention that it goes against unit usage standards.

I don't have any this problem, and haven't since at least 0.35. Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but I think you mean that you are unable to delete folders from the tree-pane? It works fine for me...

As Nikos often says, this is a debug build of alpha software. It is not meant to be fast. According to Nikos, the (not yet released) release build is very, very fast.
It is my job to comfort the disturbed,
and to disturb the comfortable.
