Hello
sorry for this question, but I could'nt find information in the Help section of 2xExplorer...
I bought an external hard drive, 40 gigs, and I'd like to use it as a backup disk for my important folders in my laptop, that is: My documents, D:\MP3 and some other stuff.
Well... How am I supposed to do this with 2xExplorer? When I click on the "Synchronization" button, i just get the message "Differing items identified and selected for further action". But what is the suggested further action supposed to be? A drag&drop in the second panel? And is it possible to tell 2xExplorer to perform the synchronization each day or each hour for example?
Thanks for your help guys!

2x does a "lightweight" synchronization
(there's a big section about this in 2xExplorer.rtf)
this means that it only checks the 2 folders you are browsing left & right for differences. (It won't check subfolders). It selects all the items that differ, eg newer files or files that don't exist in the "other" pane. Then you usually copy the selected files to the other pane so that the 2 are "synchronized"
but if regular deep-tree synchronizations is what you're after then there may be other more specialized tools that do a better job than 2x
