Re: Ability to copy, paste & edit individual icons in a
I think you have to work with the entire set of 74 icons in one shot... Or at least the final image you save has to be 1x74 icons in size. I imagine you could use Word (GIMP, Paint.net, etc) to "erase" part of the skin, then copy-n-paste your single homemade icon onto the exactly correct location of the large skin image. Then 'select-all' and 'group' and then crop your finished toolbar to make sure it's the correct dimensions (e.g. 24 high X 3552 wide).pschroeter wrote:Does your redoing the icons in x2 mean we will have the ability to copy, paste and edit individual icons in a toolbar, rather than having to edit an image strip containing all the icons? ...

Yes, but this is Details-View only, and is, as you say, "fragile". I'm talking about a full custom sort order. (As MS has deprecated custom sort order with Win 7, this may be a feature that is attractive to users -- and potential users.)nikos wrote:a fragile custom sort order sort of exists with <ctrl+shift+up/down>

Please have x2 remember all the opposite pane tabs when switching out of dual pane view and restore them when switching back. And, when switching back, restore the panes to their previous positions. Currently the restored second pane opens on the right (or bottom) even when it was originally the left (or top) pane.
It is very annoying to lose the opposite pane tabs when having toggled to single pane to temporarily get more screen area and then toggle back to dual pane and find your carefully selected tabs are *gone*
This has been requested several times by others in the past; but lately have frequently I run into the need for this feature myself. (Use case is for managing a plethora of photo folders, and needing thumbnail view style to see what's in a particular folder.)

Please create resizable scrap window search popup
Maybe this request is on one of the pages already but I wish the scrap window search popup was re-sizable. We have some long paths to do with and it would nice to be able to see the full path in the MRU pull-dull. Thanks.

Re: Please create resizable scrap window search popup
Can this be generalized to a request for ALL data entry dialogs to be resizable? This has been mentioned before, and unless there's built-in limitations, the change will be most welcome!Nate-dts wrote:... I wish the scrap window search popup was re-sizable...

Yes, yes -- and especially the Customize Toolbar dialog box where there are over 150 button choices and only 7 or 8 showing at one time as presently configured. :(pj wrote:... a request for ALL data entry dialogs to be resizable

I would like to have the available buttons list in the Customize Toolbar dialog separated in several sublists... builtins, user command, bookmarks, etc... you could use a drop down menu at the top of the list to choose a sublist.
Another toolbar related improvement I would like is to be able to right-click on a custom item toolbar button to get to it's configuration dialog rather than have to navigate several levels of menu to get there.

having to do a couple of copy jobs recently, i was thinking...
when you open a new scrap window, dragging the icon to the miniscrap or directory would be helpful, to automatically save the .cida file. or a box provided to type in the name to a pre-chosen directory? or something similar.
the current save dialog is windows explorer control. i should NEVER see it within x2
(i personally wish it begone forever).
--
some form of copy/move tasks could be saved for later. i thought of this and realise you can half do this with scraps (adding the files), but a 'scrap job' could be saved. i could set a job up, with destination target, save and leave it, and run it when necessary. after the job has been done, option to delete the job, or update the scrap to the new location (most of the time after the job has done it would be deleted as it's no longer needed). these are small one-off jobs, not the type requiring sync tools.
==
less registry hacking and bring more options directly into x2's options dialog. i know at the time it was a blessing to have the current x2 advanced settings gui, versus using regedit.
--
Question: if i do a copy using queue, then a move using the queue, will these run in order (do Job A then do Job B)? I sometimes download a file, wish to copy it to external hd, and wish to move it to laptop hd for on the go...
