That feature has always been available in x2.
... well, at least since August 2003 beta-days ;)

viz: After copy [Ctrl+C]
at the destination, use: Edit | Paste special | Folder structure

for details, see p.187 of the User Manual
Copying only the structure of a directory

...OK! Well, duh! I *thought* I remembered seeing it somewhere but somehow managed to overlook it lately. Thanks for the reminder.

And here's a feature request, nikos ~~~

Please make robust transfer (copy) options available for pasting structured scrap clips.  :o

Sorry, that option does not seem to work for structured scraps.
And but there are times when I want to retain the Win behaviour -- but not usually with structured scraps.

I have no time to followup on this right now. :(
Sometime next week.

PS also have another issue in that saved find options are badly messed up - the named filters do not retrieve the options they were saved with.
Later ... maybe Tuesday

Find subject in Scrap Container

Post by bmolony »

I hope it not too late to add this request to the next update.

Please add to the title bar of the Scrap Container that opens as a result of a "Find" the subject of the find--the value entered into the "Find files or folders" dialog box after the word "Named:".

Sometimes after I waited for a long search to be completed I have forgotten what it was I was searching for! Guess I am getting too OLD!

you can check what you were searching for using Tools > Search status menu command, near the top it lists the search criteria

Now Nikos, you should know that is FAR too much work for me!  :D

I want my "stuff" right where I can see it when I want to see it and not to have to go off searching for it in a place I would never remember where it was.

Heck, as my post sort of alluded to, at my age, I have enough trouble remembering that I was searching for my socks, much less remembering that they are usually found in my sock drawer! And even then I am left with the question "where the heck was that sock drawer anyway"???

So pretty please! Add it just for us old and forgetful folks, ok?

Hi Nikos,

In the beginning of this thread you announced:

dual registry/INI file settings

I was wondering, does this mean that (in future) no more registry entries are necessary for xplorer2 and the application is already portable?

Any idea when this becomes available?

So what is the point in shelling out for the Pro version? Surely it is better to wait for the Super version.
