Hmm, my experience indicates that the SIMTEL downloading sites are complete crap. Ads, ads, ads, and I never get the download file. Then, when I try to use the Notify Us button, I'm just routed in a circle to another page. Pure BS, and unbecoming to the Editor2 and 2xExplorer developer. Please provide your users a better download site alternative.
I *did* manage to find the 2xExplorer on a different download site; but I can't locate an alternate solution for Editor2. Can anyone provide me an alternative download site for Editor2?
Thanks!
Problems downloading Editor2 from SIMTEL

simtel provide an invaluable service that keeps freeware authors "in business". Bandwidth isn't free and downloads take massive amounts of it. So when you get a service for free you don't ask for too many frills.
i never had any problems with it. Recently they had a makeover and there are a few problems with some browsers but i believe they are working about it. You can help by reporting your difficulties to them so that they can fix them
having said all that. here's another link for ed2:

Thank-you, Nikos -- Exactly what I needed. Downloaded without a hitch.
I'm not sure what the issue was with SIMTEL -- I'm using IE 6.0, sp1, patched up-to-date, and I'm on an ADSL. Unless my ISP is doing something disagreeable with respect to downloading from SIMTEL, I am left to conclude it was their site. I was certainly experiencing some bizarre redirects yesterday. And I don't have that issue with other sites.
Just letting you know.
