When I hover some short-name file, it will be selected like longest file name in that folder.
Can I somehow force x2 to make selection to be as wide as filename?

How about checking disable some Vista effects in x2settingseditor global?

This is so boring thing
I accidentally click on a file/folder many time, since now very often full windows is "clickable"

No, still no success
But I see that in FreeCommander XE this works better (imho) than in x2:

try disabling vista effects from Tools > Advanced options

I will try that when at home.

Disabling Vista effects solves this "problem"
I will see later if that have some side effects (tnx, Kilmatead!).
