X2 .43 Debug assertion on windows shutdown

Post by JRz »

Hi again Nikos,

Getting warmed up. So another minor 'bug' to report. 8)

When I shutdown Windows (XP SP1, but I think it is not Windows version related) I get a debug assertion. I can't give you more than a transcript of the dialog, because windows is shutting down, so no other application (such as a clipboard capture program) will start.

The message says:

Expression: pn

in source file <path>\instance.cpp line 696

Should give you enough info I think.
I have to hit he cancel button to continue shutting down Windows. Is the appearance of the dialog due to the fact that it is still a debug (and alpha) version and is there a way round this?
It is no big issue, but keeps popping up because I keep X2 open all the time and let Windows shut it down with the rest of the apps I have running (You can't do without X2, so it's logical to keep it running, no ?? )

Just thought I'd report it anyway

Jan.
