Easily viewed notes for folders

Is there the option to have notes added to folders and that are viewed as u browse these folders with 2x (or other Explorer like utility)

in windows 2000 and onwards you can associate comments to files but not folders. At any case the old 2x can't see either (the new x2 can for files)

as i mentioned in my email (which BTW bounced) it looks like 2x isn't the tool for your needs...
