the new file system reFS in win8

The NTFS features we have chosen to not support in ReFS are: named streams, object IDs, short names, compression, file level encryption (EFS), user data transactions, sparse, hard-links, extended attributes, and quotas.
other than cancelling 90% of the advanced features in ntfs, they supply full backward compatibility!!!

oh well the world may come to an end before they manage to ship win8

At least, there is EncFS for Windows, which perfectly matches (Dropbox and) reFS. I wish they would have kept WinFS though.
