xplorer2 - Assertion failure on startup

I jusr downloaded x2 on my XP system. I read the readme and started thisdbmon before starting x2. However it comes up with an Assertion Failure and exits. (As a result I sadly still havent seen your program working

)

I have appended the messages I get in the dialog box

that's a "funny" one
to resume click on IGNORE button a few times to see how it goes
i can't imagine how this happened

I think I saw a funny like that at first, but it went away.

Huh, I did as you suggested, I clicked ignore bout 4 times, each time it popped up with a similar message, but pointing at different portions of code. And then it launched the program.
Now the program starts fine... no messages at all ??? maybe they'll come back if I retsart the PC. but so far so good

i can't reproduce that at all, even in "fresh" XP installations
in your experience, x2 takes long or is very fast starting up?
do you get any message boxes upon startup?
