blog: the misunderstood windows search

At work, many of my searches are on the network drives.  Windows Search's exclusion of content searches on network drives is a major limitation for me.  Google Desktop Search includes content searches on network folders, so until Windows and/or xplorer2 adds that, I'll keep using Google, even though they stopped supporting it.

if you have windows search v4 then you can search remote indexes. That's in theory because I do not have such an environment to test the feature

xplorer2 robust search works in networks but you don't get the speed advantage
