I haven’t got a clue as to how and why this came about. I have reenabled background thumbnail extraction. Everything is working as expected now. Thanks for looking into this.
Cheers,

has anyone seen xplorer2 window "disappear" when minimized on the taskbar? I had it a few times but I can't nail it down :(
the symptom is that you try to restore the window and nothing comes up, and then when you restart xplorer2 it shows a tiny window. Has anyone experienced something like this?

Yeah I had that happened a few times but it's not limited to your program. It seems to happen to any program so I think it might actually be a Windows thing. Although typically when that happens, it's because xplorer2 or the other programs are hanging and then you minimize it. Seems like Windows sometimes are not properly handling the windows state of programs that are hanging or responding.
