xplorer2 - explorer replacement has stopped working?

I'm on Windows 10 and still using 2.5.0.4. I've uninstalled it once due to an unrelated issue, but after installing the second time, I frequently get this error message when it sits idle for a brief period of time. Does anyone know why or what might be causing it? This is a problem because I usually lose my tabs and any updated settings.

try HELP > CRASH INFORMATION menu command. For best reliability you are better off using the latest version 3.2

It seems to have worked itself out on its own, might have been a reboot that helped, as I no longer get them When i looked at the report, it said "There is no crash dump file for this program version"

I have run into this problem where X2 just freezes and it will not even shut down without stopping it via task manager (Win 10 x64). I have to reboot to get it to run correctly again. Is this a known issue?
