An odd thing happened on my new Windows 10 Samsung laptop. When I formatted some USB 3.0 flash drives, x2 would lose all my settings and bookmarks. The first time it happened, I completed the format, closed the program, and restored the settings with my backup .reg file. It kept doing this every time I formatted another drive. Eventually, I just stopped using x2 and opened the Win 10 File Explorer to search for the drive I wanted to format. I'm running x2 v3.2.0.2.
Any explanation for this annoying behavior?

xplorer2 shouldn't lose its settings spontaneously. It either doesn't like your license key or perhaps some other program is cleaning the registry settings?

Re: xplorer2 loses settings
I purchased my license key for x2 pro from zabkat sales 4 months ago. The software is legit. I do not use registry cleaners and, as far as I know, none of my installed apps clean the registry.
Your software works just fine on my Win 7 desktop using the same license key. If I format a flash drive on the desktop, x2 doesn't lose its settings. The problem is particular to my Win 10 laptop.

Re: xplorer2 loses settings
Yes, Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 on both machines.
Upon further investigation, it seems as though I may not be losing the settings in the registry, but the GUI becomes very small and will not recover to its former self when expanded. The bookmarks are still there and the dual panels are also there. The registry files under ZabaraKatranemia Plc haven't disappeared, but the GUI fails to display as before.
I'm thinking that this may be a scaling problem with xplorer2. The laptop display is 3200 x 1800 and scaling is set @250% (the default). For whatever reason, formatting a drive on the laptop causes the x2 GUI to revert to a tiny, almost unreadable size. Expanding the GUI back to normal size causes it to lose both its pane and toolbar icon settings.
Is there a setting in x2 that will lock the GUI when scaled?

Re: xplorer2 loses settings
Checking "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" doesn't work. In fact, it causes the GUI to implode once again.
I had to uncheck that setting, delete the registry files under 'ZabaraKatranemia Plc', and use my backup .reg file to bring everything back to normal.
Your cure, I'm afraid, is just as bad as the disease.
