Tree pane and network drives

Post by JPB »

When navigating in the tree pane you can press alt+rightarrrow to open (explode) all folders (nodes) below the current folder.  On a local drive this works as expected.  On a mapped network drive only the first path opens followed by a system beep (error?).  Subsiquent alt+rightarrow presses open the next path with a beep; eventually the full tree will be opened.  Any suggestions - comments?

looks like some paths can't be read and x2 stops with an error
check Help | Last error for more details

Just wondering if there was ever a follow up on this issue. This is a pretty old post, but it's still happening, and when I try to do HELP|Last Error, no error message appears. I couldn't find any other postings on this topic, either. Is there any way to correct this behavior, so that the ALT|RightArrow works the same on network drives as it does for local drives? Thanks.

are there any nodes in the tree left "unopened"? These are the problematic folders that cause xplorer2 to stall the tree expansion

I know this is an old post but I'm running into this in the latest version of xplorer2. Navigating in the list pane does not cause the tree to expand to the current location for any mapped drives. It works fine for the local drives. There isn't any error, it just doesn't expand. It's rather annoying. Am I missing some setting? I'm using 3.2.0.2 64-bit in Windows 7 and Windows 10. Both behave the same way.

if you want to autosync the tree on network folders you must tick OFF the "fast network access" setting from TOOLS >OPTIONS menu, Advanced property page; alternatively press ALT+T keys to manually syncrhonize
