I generally have at least five or six instances of xplorer up and running on my system, in multiple virtual desktops.
When I create a shortcut and assign it to the toolbar, using the customize feature, it would be really handy to be able to have it automatically be assigned to all the other running instances, instead of having to close them all down first before the current session is saved. Or at least have a switch or button that assigns it to the other sessions.
Perhaps it is possible and I missed the memo
I has about to say that there is..
But I was wrong.
The Actions/Save settings now command works for new instances, and is fine unless, you close down one of the previous instances after setting were saved. This saves the Old configuration again. If an old instance is the last one saved, then you have to make all the changes again and then save them.
So I guess the question is, should I prevent Xplorer2 from saving changed upon exist, or is there another way of forcing explorer to export the new configuration to all running instances.
some customizations are automatically shared with running instances (e.g. adding bookmarks), but others like toolbar changes are not. The best policy is to do your changes when only one window is open, then the new ones will follow
