Mixed English/Portuguese on Settings Editor

Post by sanferno »

Hi,

I just wanted to inform of the mixed use of English and Portuguese languages in Advanced Settings Editor.
The system where the capture was taken is a Win7 x64 in Spanish.
X2 is always set to use English.

this is because you used the Brazilian translation once. Btw the xplorer2 Brazilian translation is for long time without a caring parent, are you interested to manage it? :)
I am just adding English stuff to it for many versions now

I don't remember using the Brazilian, but maybe my subconscious is thinking about girls from Ipanema... that could be the cause!

I don't know Brazilian or Portuguese but, if you need it, I could help you with Spanish.

sorry about that, it's all latin to me :)
the solution about the Brazilian in your setup is to quit xplorer2, then use regedit to delete this key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2_UC.global\File types
when you restart xplorer2 it will recreate the defaults in English or whatever language you have selected

No problem, they are similar, but not equal.

And for portable "installations" using "ini" file? I've seen the same entry, but I'm don't feel brave enough to delete anything.

find the section [xplorer2_UC.global\File types] in your INI file and you will see what needs to be deleted. You stop when you reach the next section
