Is there a way to suppress tooltips in the scrap pane?

Recently I've started using the scrap panes again, and every time I move the mouse over the main "name" column of the pane I am blitzed by 4- to 6-line tooltips. They keep flashing and dazzling, almost completely obscuring the actual names themselves, making it hard to select the name I am hunting. This I don't remember seeing in the past, but it's been a while and so maybe it is just me. Is there some way in settings to stop this tooltip?

in the scrap window use Tools > Options menu then disable infotips from the Window property page
