Prevent sleep
Is there a way for Xplorer^2 Pro to prevent the PC from sleeping during a copy process without having to turn sleep off in the Win10 settings?

Re: Prevent sleep
at present there is no solution. One workaround I've seen is starting windows media player, playing a video on it then pausing it, that should keep the PC from sleeping -- but it won't help if you are copying to a remote comuter and that goes into sleep!
I will look into a solution for xplorer2

Re: Prevent sleep
Thanks for the reply - and good luck finding a solution for x2! That'd be sweet. I was quite surprised to learn that the OS would allow the computer to sleep during a copy procedure, though even more surprised it would resume from where it left off when awakened. But of course, that doesn't do much good if you wanted the copy procedure to finish while you were away...
On a related note, but not at all related to x2, with the Fall Update Win10 now allows a remote PC to sleep when a client is connected to that host via RDP! Why in heck would MS change THAT?! Silliness... There is some severe lack of common sense with regard to both these procedures I'm afraid...

Re: Prevent sleep
Is that something that can be supplied to x2 as it is now through one of its many mind boggling interface options (a good thing,) or something requiring a programming change on your part? An option to enable "keep awake during copy operations" would certainly be most welcome.

Oh NICE! That was quick; you must've really liked the idea...
Are you integrating this change into both the Pro and Ultimate versions?

Re: Prevent sleep
Had an opportunity to see this new addition to v3502 at work - and I upgraded to ultimate beforehand to boot. Computer is set to sleep after two hours. Started a copy process in x2 which lasted five hours and went to bed. Arose eight hours later to a sleeping computer. I awoke the badbox to find that the copy process had indeed completed before the computer went into sleep mode. Very nice. Very nice indeed!!
The one thing I neglected to try is setting the option to keep the copy dialog box open after the copy process completes to ensure the computer still sleeps after the copy process completes even if the dialog box remains open. I'll try to remember to check that out next month with my upcoming large backup file copy process.
