can you try quickly the 32 bit version, does it fail the same? e.g the free lite one www.zabkat.com/x2lite.htm

Ok - I just tried it and can confirm that it fails the same way (my phone has just upgraded itself to Android 8.0, btw).

I just tried on a recent Samsung XCover 4 running android 7, and I saw no problems

No problems copying folders or anything else I tried...
