In theory, WinFSP even lets you use the Wikipedia from within xplorer² (there was a wikipediafs for FUSE somewhere). That's much cooler than copying files!
I, myself, wrote an RSS file system once, but WinFSP is more complicated than - for example - Dokany, so it does not work on Windows yet. Maybe, one day...

the devil is usually in the details. A filesystem nowadays is extremely complex. Did you provide for symbolic links in your RSS filesystem?

Of course not, because they wouldn't make much sense anyway.

Read-only file systems like mine are somewhat easier to handle. But I wouldn't want to reimplement NTFS on it.
