x2 turns on sticky selection immediately after I turn it off

Post by richardk »

Three days ago x2 started turning on sticky selection every time I turn it off then go to a different folder then go back to the first folder. When I go to a different folder it's randomly on or off there without any consistent pattern. Haven't made any changes to x2 or installed any other programs.

sticky selection isn't set on a per-folder basis. You can only turn it on manually yourself

If you have multiple 'windows' open will that make a difference?

Not sure what to say here because it sounds like you're saying you don't believe me. I'm saying sticky selection gets turned on without me turning it on and you're saying that's impossible.

I didn't have multiple windows open when it happened. I hardly ever do that because I saw a couple times in the forum or manual where it said you shouldn't use more than one window because it can mess things up although on the rare occasions where I do (special situations where two panes and mulitple tabs doesn't help - this is on maybe one or two occasions per year) it hasn't caused problems. Opening multiple windows as a test doesn't turn it on.
