Layouts and options

I use three different layouts, a main one for almost everything, and two for specific tasks. I have recently found that I can set options (Tools | Options) for the main layout and one of the others, but the third one doesn't retain new settings. For example, in the main layout and layout #2, I can change "Double-click rename" to "yes" or "no" and the setting is activated or deactivated. In layout #3, the setting is stuck on "yes"--if I change it to "no" and save the settings, double-click renaming is still active. I am using 64-bit version 6.0.0.0.
