Eliminate listing of directories.
Can I hide/eliminate the listing of directories in a folder listing?

As I said, probably can't be done in 2xExplorer. Try X2 0.0.0.54. You can get it from the homepage of 2xExplorer http://netez.com/2xExplorer. You'll like it!!
Keep in mind that it is still an alpha version. So no warranties!
Development on 2xExplorer has been suspended for ever, so this feature will never make it to 2X. You'll have to switch to X2.

Right click the folder(s),select propertys and check hidden,but why in the world would you want to do this ?jsm562 wrote:Can I hide/eliminate the listing of directories in a folder listing?
This is untested as i don't have a clue how to get them back.

@zippit I think what jsm562 is trying to do is temporarily hide folders from a pane (probably has a lot of folders which clutter this pane??), so only files are shown. I think he doesn't want to hide folders permanently which is what your suggestion does (until you reverse it of course). Your suggestion also works only in the situation when you have 2xExplorer not showing hidden items, which is what most people hate.
@jsm562 Did you get Xplorer2 alpha version .55 yet? The option to turn display of folders off in a pane in X2 is Alt+J (or from the menu View|Hide folders). It works as a toggle. So if you hit Alt+J again, the folders reappear. Nice isn't it?

oops maybe
You have a point as my other post on menus etc.i might be counterdicting myself.oops.
Aside from that Useing this option seems unfruitfull
"if it refers to sub directories"
as they don't show till you open the main directory.

Doesn't matter
We all try to guess most of the time what people are trying to do. It is often hard to grasp from the written text what is meant by someone (one of the dangers of written conversation, especially since many posters do not speak English as a native language (such as me
)
We seem to be getting there in the end in most cases though ...
