select columns

Post by Manyx »

Hello,
With the Turbocad software, for each file I can fill in fields:
title - Subject - Author - Keywords - comments
With Windows 98 and its explorer, I could see in a column the field "subject". I don't remember the real name of the column.
Then with Windows 10 I lost this possibility, even the columns in French "commentaires (comment)", "mots clés (keyword)" do not display anything when I fill in the fields in the Turbocad file.
Today I try again to display one of these fields in xplorer² (Windows 10), "comment" and "keywords" work. But I have thousands of files of which only "subject" is filled.

Is there a way to find which column corresponds to "subject" without trying them all?
Do not work: Subject, Description, Commenting. There are also columns in French, such as subject, categories, title, authors, keywords, but it's like in Windows Explorer, it doesn't display anything.

try the property page (ALT+ENTER on a file), does it show any subject or title information in DETAILS tab?

There is no special information in DETAILS tab, only the basic informations. Yet the fields "comment" and "keywords" are visible in the columns of the same name.

I don't know this Turbocad so it's hart to tell where does it save subject and title information. Usually you need the plain subject and title columns... otherwise the only solution is to try as many columns as possible and see if any shows the information you are after. Have you asked Turbocad support?
