Delete dialog miss-sized

Post by arthurmitchell42 »

Hi, when deleting files from and SMB share I'm seeing that the delete progress dialogue is coming up shrunk down to an unusually small size (picture attached) I can drag the frame to enlarge but each time it appears it's the same small size.

I take it when you resize the dialog while xplorer2 is running then it stays in proper size (?)
do you have "save settings on exit" option enabled?

Hello, if I resize it during one delete and then delete a second file, the size remain correct.
Once it's showing the correct size if I either:
* Select Actions->save now
or
* Turn on save to registry at exit in the settings
Then close and re-open the app then the dialogue box to small again.

what xplorer2 version are you running?
also do you see problems with any other settings, e.g. does it remember the main window size and position?

I’m on the latest version and as far as I can tell all other settings save and persist as expected. I also noticed this in 6.1.0.1

I tried it myself and it remembers the delete dialog size...
are you saving to INI files perhaps? Try quitting xplorer2 with ALT+X keys while save settings on exit is enabled

Morning, Interesting...
If I exit using Alt-X then it seems to save the dialogue state but if I click the X icon top right it doesn't seem to save the dialogue state.
Oddly I believe other settings such as the current directory of a pane do seem to be saved with the second method?

when you click [X] xplorer2 doesn't exit, it just hides
then probably you reboot and xplorer2 doesn't get a chance to save settings
