And that is why I have Alt-Tab set to never display any browser tabs individually (from Edge, anyway). Ctrl+Tab switches between open tabs in most browsers (left to right). Excel and PowerPoint also use Ctrl+Tab to same effect.

Exactly my point - it is meant for application specific tab switching. So, I kinda want tab switching with CTRL + TAB, right?
