Re: interesting websites
Wait, there are people who actually did not know the web archive(s) yet?

Off the beaten track that everyone knows and uses every day (Wikipedia, alternative search engines, DeepL), my most useful websites are the ones that run on my server: One installation of Miniflux which I use to follow too many
RSS feeds, mostly blogs and news sites, and one installation of my link collector, useful for when I'm on my smartphone and I find - for example - a new music release that I want to grab later; and/or interesting new websites. For those without their own server(s), there is paid hosting for Miniflux available, and decent free alternatives to 42links are Instapaper and Wallabag which I used in the past.

Such questions make me question my own life choices. As if there was only one!what is your favorite useful website?

Unfortunately lol.
Some people don't know the Internet is more than Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram....

Re: interesting websites
A favorite go-to site when I happen to be sitting on the target of an eye is
Eye on the Storm
The articles and analysis of weather, and, my particular interest, hurricanes heading toward sunny Florida, are "eye" opening.
What I find even more enlightening are up to the second postings in the comments of other data, videos, hurricane tracker flight data logs, etc.
