Yeah, and "Pluto isn't a planet" is considered catholic doctrine to the astronomer-caste these days, but that doesn't mean it's true. :D

When I was eight or nine, I had one of those great-aunts who had a habit of perhaps enjoying one-too-many highballs on a summer's afternoon and would explode with violent and vociferous intent if awoken by my childish occupation of making lots of noise, as children should, such were her and my wont.

So, at the risk of incurring a gloriously lip-wagging lambaste from our fearless leader about the ignoble limits of vanity, style, and how "xplorer² just doesn't do fashion", I would like to quietly, cautiously, respectfully, tentatively, tenterhookedly, and trepidatiously point out that the cloning which results from changing Options -> General -> Appearance -> Main Font makes a mockery of this bugfix.

"save changes on exit" is turned on momentarily then back off again (it isn't possible to make persistent changes otherwise). I recommend doing your changes when you first start the program

But I actually want temporal changes, not persistent ones! That's what "don't save settings" means!

By that logic I should always carry a piece of bread in my pocket "just in case" I want to feed the ducks in 6 hours time. And carry a gun "just in case" the English invade us again. And do my operatic vocal exercises "just in case" I have to fill in for the Enrico Caruso Memorial Radio Hour show.

Does x2 have a prognostication setting that disables the spontaneity setting? Is that what you've really been doing with all those AI experiments of yours? I smell a conspiracy. The whole point of NOT saving settings is to try things without endangering the status quo. No wonder you got a failing grade in Conservatism 101.

Returning to my problem with SETFOLDERCOLOUR not working...

Home PC running 5.4.0.2: I use SFC with no issues.

Is there a location with old versions of X2 so I can incrementally install versions until I locate the point where SFC fails? Yes I understand it works for everyone else, but even with a generally vanilla Win 10 installation, SFC fails despite trying all the fixes mentioned above.

Something changed. I'd just like to know where so I can upgrade to the point just before that, since I do not see this being fixed by Nikos.
