Save settings on exit = windows registry
Every now and then I notice that when I open X2 I'm not at the same folders I was on when I closed the app. I check "save settings on exit" config item and it is set to "no".
Any ideas how this is getting disabled?

1. Configure your settings as desired.
2. Click “Actions | Save settings now”.
3. Set "save settings on exit" to No.

I have to admit that I have also observed this mysterious turning off of automatic saving of changes. It is rare but I have seen it. No idea why it happens

Re: Save settings on exit
I forgot to add this.
I found that it is preferable to exit xplorer² immediately after the above 3 steps.
You should get the same folders on display when you restart X2.
It seems that an immediate exit is necessary to actually set the "save settings on exit" property.
