Windows 11's archive support and X2's Go to

Post by infimum »

Win11 natively supports some basic archive operations (browsing and decompressing), which are carried over to X2. I don't use any plugins.

Now, from deep (usually 2 or more folders down) inside an archive, say 7z file, do Go to > Special folders > Root, for example. It doesn't work. Shortcuts don't work. But Startup works. Drivebar buttons can take you back to the root folder. What is happening?

"root" is only relevant for filesystem folders, it doesn't work inside archives
you can click on a path in the crumb-bar, or press CTRL+SHIFT+C if you prefer the keyboard, to go up levels
