No Nikos, it's exactly that option (show full window on drag/drop) what I'm talking about (and Vserghi too!). Controls whether you see the whole window rendered (which is slow) or only an outline showing you the position and size of your window (but everything inside the broder is transparent (which is fast).nikos wrote:but that's a different option;

I had not checked out the behaviour on w98 as I did on XP earlier.
When I did, I found different behaviour:
In w98, both winExplorer & xplorer2 highlight the destination properly
whether the "Show window contents while dragging" switch is ON or OFF.
But there Is another difference, regardless of that switch position:
winExplorer shows a line-frame of the selection being carried along,
whereas xplorer² shows only a tiny rectangle with the cursor.
I don't know what the behaviour is on w2k. (I lost my access to that platform when I was "upgraded" to XP last summer.)
