x2 request - icon in file area
It would be good to have an icon at the top of the file list in each window that would go to the next higher level. It seems like I'm always clicking to go up when the wrong window is active. Thanks.

The title bars, let alone double click on them wasn't in there a year ago (X2 of course), so that nowledge wouldn't have helped youdurf786 wrote:Dang! I wish I'd known that a year ago! I did RTFM, but I must have missed it. Okay, here's another request - make it configurable whether dragging & dropping on the same drive copies or moves files. Thanks!
You can modify the behaviour of drap & drop by pressing Ctrl while dropping on the destination. It then copies in stead of move!
By the way: This is identical to Windows Explorer behaviour

Windows Explorer?
Windows Explorer?!
Are you allowed to use that term here? I thought the whole idea was to have a program better than that piece of stuff!
Right now 2xExplorer by default copies files on different drives and moves them on the same drive, which means I always have to know what I'm doing. It's too big of a challenge. I used Magellan for a while and it has very good configuration. I'd like to know that dragging and dropping always copies files, so I can right-click or cntrl-click to move files, thereby avoiding unpleasant surprises the next day.
Thanks!

And yes, durf786, All these visual clues and right mouse button dragging are also the same as in "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named". Some of the features of "You-Know-Who" are not so badnikos wrote:i think the default behaviour makes sense, even if that e-word program does the same
at any rate, there are visual cues, i.e. the mouse cursor gets the + overlay when copying, arror for shortcuts etc. So you get ample warning. For ultimate safety you can always drag with the right button
