A fast look-around doesn't find any option for a caption that reflects which folder is currently open. With multiple 2x windows tabs all looking the same, this makes for a distracting guessing game.
I wrote a batch file that renames the tab captions to the current folder. It wasn't trivial, but it's very helpful.
Thanks.

Re: 2x Captions (titles)
the folder is in the main window titlebar and on the specific pane titlebar, what more could be done?

The main window may be minimized or overlaid and the tab list at the bottom is my concern but yes, the folder appears at the END of the whole path, and after "2xExplorer etc.".
But tab titles are truncated from the right side so with several open, all one sees is "2xExpl..." repeated for all the 2x tabs.
(I'm very happy with my batch file.)
Thanks.

Re: 2x Captions (titles)
With, say, 6 tabs open do you begin hovering them from right to left or left to right or just guess which one is the wanted one?
It's a time-wasting distraction.
