Hi,
When you drag and drop a file:
- between 2 folders of the same hard drive, then it is a "move" file
- between 2 folders on different hard drives then it is a "copy" file
That is for Windows Explorer.
Do you know the rationale behind that?
And for xplorer² Professional, it is the same.
Do you know a trick so that dragging and dropping a file always results in a "move"?

Or Drag file/folder with right mouse button down. When you Drop it at destination you'll be presented with a menu "Copy here, Move here, Create shortcut here, Cancel". 3rd party shell extensions may add further options, eg WinRAR has options to create an archive at the destination.Robert2 wrote:Press the Shift key before you drop the file.
