Robust Move still show Explorer Dialog in 3.2
I updated to 3.2.0.1 ultimate recently, and noticed a bug with Robust Move. When initiating Robust Move and setting options for auto rename, I am still getting the default Explorer dialog on matching files. I was able to get it to work with Robust Copy with the same options and then just delete the files, but thought I should report the issue.

i take it you are the same person that contacted me by email. can you show me a pic of these confirmation dialogs? Because if they are the same as windows explorer it means that you don't have robust move working and as such all robust options are not going to be used

Re: Robust Move still show Explorer Dialog in 3.2
This is happening because you are moving files within the same volume/drive. Robust "Move" only kicks in when moving objects between volumes, otherwise generic Windows "move" is used (hence the dialog) because objects on the same drive are never physically "moved", they merely have their MFT entries modified so they appear to be moved.
To fix this, use the awkwardly named Tools -> Advanced Options -> Layout Settings (Tab) -> F6 Done robust with options even when moving in the same partition.
This will create physical copies (with new names) at the desired locations, so it will take significantly longer than a normal "move", but the end result will preserve the behavioural consistency you're expecting.

This is consistent with what I was seeing. I was thinking there was an option somewhere to enable it, but couldn't find it in the standard settings dialog. Thanks.

Nikos, I did not send an email, but as mentioned above, this is because I was moving within the same volume.nikos wrote:i take it you are the same person that contacted me by email. can you show me a pic of these confirmation dialogs?
