Changing folders on network

Don't know if the subject matches what I'm after. When navigating local drives, if you click on a drive sub folder the corresponding folder in the tree view is highlighted. Is there a switch somewhere for the same thing when navigating network drives? I hope I explained this ok. Thanks.

If you go to Options, on the Advanced tab you will find "Faster network access with plain icons etc." Undoing that option will make the tree synchronize with network folders. This was pointed out to me recently.
