X2 stops responding after empty dvd drive is closed

I inadvertantly clicked on the DVD drive icon, the tray opened, I closed the tray without a disc, X2 then went into a Not Responding mode trying to scan the empty drive, I forced shut down X2, restart all OK.

well blow me over with a feather, X2 wouldn't "not Respond" no matter how hard I tried to confuse it with the tray, sheesh these temporary gremlins need another home..
