How do I delete rules?
How do I delete all of these predefined rules and have it NEVER remember what I type. I went into the advanced settings and unchecked all of the file types but it keeps bring them all back the next time I open xplorer. I went to the registry and deleted it there but it keeps bringing them all back.

Nikos' recent blog on Kismet is closest you'll get to a "proper" solution for this. 
Don't uncheck all the filetypes (that, as you discovered just brings them all back) - instead, uncheck all but one of them, and the rest will disappear from the list. Not a perfect solution since you're always left with one, but... some developers don't seem to understand that "helpful stuff" should always be a mere option, not a requirement.
