I changed from using the registry for settings to an ini file in the install folder and now x2SE cannot find my settings... I'm running x2SE from x2 using the advanced settings menu command...
well, starting x2 with the default layout and doing advanced settings seems to have solved the problem.

Re: x2SettingsEditor
you should know that INI files will make startup and shutdown (of xplorer2) a bit slower

Re: x2SettingsEditor
I have not really noticed a slowdown on starting and exiting x2 but I might test it some... I seem to like a portable x2.

Re: x2SettingsEditor
it isn't going to be day-and-night difference but it is there
also, in portable mode, advanced options should work the same. You must select the correct layout from the selector (that's the same as in registry mode)
