Using Win 7 Home Premium SP1, xplorer2 Pro 1.8.1.4
I've been using xplorer2 for quite a while with no issues.
Just recently, when single-clicking the left mouse button on a video file, the sound, but not the video, of that video file starts playing. Something opens evidenced by a short-lived hourglass, but no new process appears in Task Manager or Process Explorer. The only way to end it is to close xplorer2.
Double-clicking a video file plays it with the sound as expected, but also plays an additional instance of the video's sound creating an echo-like illusion.
This also happens with mid, wav, and mp3 files, but not flac.
This does not happen in Windows Explorer or Free Commander, only in xplorer2.
Single click activation is not checked and has never been checked.
Any ideas to fix this?
Thanks
EdP

Re: Strange single click behavior
do you have the quick previewer on, perhaps minimized and out of sight? See if VIEW > QUICK VIEWER menu is ticked

Well, I'll be ....
That's it, Nikos.
I don't know how it got turned on - in fact, I wasn't even aware of the feature.
Thanks very much for the quick response - I appreciate it.
